At the Berlin International Appliance Fair (IFA), one of the top three electronics and IT (information technology) shows worldwide, a Busan startup made its first foray into the European market.
Three Busan startups participated in “IFA 2023,” which was held in Berlin, Germany from the first to the fifth of this month, and obtained results, according to a statement released on the 20th by Busan Chang-gyeong and Busan City.
Aside from CES, which takes place in January in Las Vegas, USA, and MWC, which takes place in February in Barcelona, Spain, IFA is regarded as one of the top three electronics and IT events worldwide. Busan Changkyung encouraged Busan businesses to attend IFA for the first time this year in an effort to grow their sales channels in Europe, much as Busan companies that took part in CES last year and this year pioneered foreign sales routes.
The three Busan firms that were chosen through the competition are PEP Co., Ltd. (producing electric bicycles and other e-mobility charging equipment), Enviz Co., Ltd. (producing video editing controllers), and LED Soft Co., Ltd. (producing virus sterilizing lights).
These businesses met with European clients after entering the “NEXT” pavilion, which showcases businesses from around the globe with cutting-edge new technologies. With the epidemic era, LEDSoft has broadened its sales area to include B2B (business-to-business) and B2G (business-to-government/institution) transactions. Through IFA, the company was successful in selling its first sample in Europe. Furthermore, distributors in Northern Europe, where the use of shared electric bicycles is growing, showed a great deal of interest in PEP. Both local customers and European solo creators gave InVise positive ratings.
